What Is Anxiety?
Anxiety is fear of the unknown. That scattered jumpy feeling that makes you forgetful and expecting the worst, even when you have no idea what “the worst” might be.

WHAT YOU MAY BE FEEING

You might have trouble taking a deep breath and experience your heart pounding. You might wonder if what you are feeling is a panic attack.

Or you might have mild anxiety that is nagging you letting you know there is something you need to talk about.

You can feel anxious when you experience triggers that take you back to situations or circumstances where you were in danger.

Sometimes, many times, that danger was emotional danger that you haven’t fully processed.

Other times you feel the scattered fearfulness because you are keeping something down, not facing it. A decision you have been putting off or an underlying issue that is right beneath the surface of your awareness. It just won’t go away.

WHAT YOU MAY HAVE TRIED

The more you try and distract yourself or wish it way, the more anxiety you feel. This feeling is really getting in your way and making you miserable.

WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING

It isn’t a flaw or a fault. It is your psychological self trying to protect you. Yet is is letting you know something needs attention. Something is wrong.

You haven’t felt the emotional safety to let the feelings come through. You need a safe place, a place that is judgement free to sort this through.

WHAT WILL HELP

Whether what needs sorting through happened years ago or is a current worry therapy is the place to resolve what is making you feel anxious so that you can get back to enjoying life.

Talking it through will bring you the clarity and peace you need so that you can make decisions you can feel good about and get back to enjoying life.
